On April 28 at 5:40 p.m. San Mateo PD officers went to the 400 block of Martin Drive. They were responding to a call of a domestic violence incident in progress.

The victim fled to a neighbor’s house after the suspect had strangled and beaten her,

The suspect, James Sibbert, was driving while intoxicated nearby at a park.

Sibbert was arrested and officers confiscated multiple firearms. Sibbert was taken to the San Mateo County Jail.
