Redwood City PD arrests man on suspicion of attempted stabbing at gym

“On March 25th, at approximately 10:07 PM, Redwood City Police Officers responded to the 24 Hour Fitness, located at 1050 Broadway, on the report of a male caller saying that someone was trying to stab him, and he then disconnected. Officers arrived on scene and found two subjects engaged in a disturbance. They were both detained and the investigation revealed that Steven Olivarados-Santos (30) believed the Victim was following him and Olivarados-Santos confronted him. Olivarados-Santos brandished a knife, threatened to kill the Victim and then chased him in the parking lot. Olivarados-Santos was arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail for an Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Criminal Threats. Officers recovered the knife that Olivarados-Santos brandished at the scene.
