Police: Man leads pursuit in stolen vehicle, flees into woods on foot
Police have arrested a man who they say fled into the woods after leading them on a pursuit in an allegedly stolen vehicle in Grass Valley.
On the night of February 17th, deputies began pursuing a man who failed to yield for an attempted traffic stop, instead leading them on a pursuit down Brunswick Road to Highway 174 to Cedar Ridge Drive.
From there, police say he fled into the woods on foot.
Grass Valley PD and Nevada City PD responded to provide assistance and set up a perimeter, as well as bringing in K-9 Officer Rudiger to shake out the suspect.
Within minutes, 48-year-old Keith Rains was in police custody.
