Man carries meth in his pocket and in his sock

AUBURN – On Friday January 31 a man drove in Auburn with an expired registration sticker on his license plate.

An officer with the Placer County Sheriff’s Office pulled the driver over on Bowman Road.

40-year-old Rancho Cordova resident Christopher McCord  had a loaded firearm on the floorboard of his car, as well as meth in his pockets and a set of brass knuckles.

The PCSO summarized, “McCord was arrested for possession of methamphetamine while armed, possession of metal knuckles and possession of a loaded firearm in public.”

Once at the Auburn Jail, officers also found meth in McCord’s sock, which led to “an additional charge of bringing controlled substances into a jail facility.”

His bail is set at $60,000.
