GARBERVILLE – It was described by a Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office deputy as a “hand-to-hand drug transaction.”  The deputy witnessed the transaction in the 800 block of Redwood Drive  while on patrol the night of October 2.

The two male subjects were contacted by officers, and it was discovered that one of the two, 30-year-old Phillipsville resident Isaac William Washburn, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

Once Washburn was arrested, deputies searched his person, finding a digital scale and “15 individually wrapped bags of heroin,” as well as “other evidence of drug sales.”

Washburn was booked on his warrant and possession of controlled substance for sale, and the other man was released from the scene.
