CORNING – As officers with the Corning Police Department conducted a follow up investigation of a theft case on September 28th, they came upon an illegal campsite near South and Houghton Avenues.
There, officers discovered 62-year-old Joseph Strout and 59-year-old James Walker.
Strout currently had 10 warrants out for his arrest, and at least one of them was a felony warrant.
For his part, Walker had 7 warrants out for his arrest.
As officers searched the campsite they found drug paraphernalia.
The duo were arrested for their warrants, and also for the possession of paraphernalia. An inspection of the campsite also led to “littering in a waterway and stream-bed alteration” charges.
