The Marijuana Enforcement Unit of the CCSO proceeded to eradicate 4347 growing marijuana plants, discovered in “seven large ‘hoop house’ structures.”

Deputies also found “a small amount of processed marijuana.” As is often the case on illegal grow sites, code violations were discovered by code enforcement officers, such as unpermitted structures and substandard electrical practices.”

64-year-old Patrick James Owen (Middleburg Heights, Ohio) and 41-year-old Douglas Sheppard (Sparks, Nevada),  were booked on charges of illegal marijuana cultivation, possession of marijuana for sale and conspiracy.

They are each being held on $100,000 bail.
