ANTIOCH— Four teenagers, including a 16-year-old minor have been arrested on suspicion of committing a home invasion robbery. The teens allegedly entered and robbed a residence in the 2000 block of Goldpine Way.

On August 7th at approximately 9:30 p.m., a home invasion in progress was reported to Antioch police. Four suspects fled by car before officers arrived, but a description of the suspects’ vehicle was broadcast to neighboring agencies.

Brentwood PD located the vehicle, but the suspects led Brentwood officers on a high-speed chase. Eventually, it drove off the road at Bixler Road, south of Marsh Creek Road.

Three of the suspects were arrested at the scene of the disabled vehicle:
Keith Slaughter, 18
Brian Williams, 18
• Qwest Hewitt, 19

Each of them faces charges for burglary, robbery, kidnapping and conspiracy to commit a crime. They remain in custody at the Martinez Detention Facility, and they are presently not bondable.

Officers recovered three firearms from the vehicle. In addition, all the victim’s stolen property was recovered. Additional charges are possible, pending the outcome of an ongoing investigation.

The fourth suspect fled, running into a field, although he was apprehended shortly afterward. The area surrounding the field was searched, with assistance from Contra Costa County Sheriff’s deputies and Oakley police.

The fourth suspect was attempting to hitchhike, when he was captured at gunpoint by a Brentwood officer. This 16-year-old boy was taken to county juvenile hall.
