LODI – On July 1st two detectives with the Lodi Police Department came upon two males sitting in a vehicle as it was parked in an alley near the 300 block of E. Pine Street.
As the officers approached the vehicle, the male sitting in the passenger seat took off on foot, dropping a gun behind him.

With a prompt perimeter established, officers soon located 20-year-old Angel Martinez and took him into custody.
The gun that the suspect dropped was a loaded 9mm Heckler and Koch P2000SK with an extended magazine.”
Martinez was “arrested and booked into the Lodi City Jail for several weapons violations and gang enhancements.”
