During the domestic violence investigation, officers made contact with a judge to approve an emergency restraining order for the victim. Part of the emergency restraining order required that the scene be searched for firearms.

A search of the suspect’s car was performed and officers discovered an unregistered AR-15 and two revolvers.  They found a pound and a half of heroin, four ounces of meth, half an ounce of cocaine and body armor. The suspect also had $6,000 in cash that was seized.

36-year-old Joshua Contreras, a convicted felon, was summarily arrested and his three guns and $150,000 worth of drugs were seized. He now has a bail of $250,000.
