WATSONVILLE — A 60-year-old man has been arraigned in court in connection to sexual assault accusations leveled against him by two people during a family disturbance last week.

On the night of Monday, August 16, police responded to the 1100 block of South Green Valley Road to investigate the disturbance, at which point two individuals told them Juan Corona had sexually assaulted them both as teenagers.

Corona was detained and detectives were called in to conduct interviews, ultimately gathering sufficient evidence to place him under arrest, with bail set at $500,000.

Though the crimes are said to have occurred more than three decades ago, detectives believe there are more victims. The investigation is ongoing.
