Five arrested for theft from marijuana cultivation site

RUMSEY – Five people were arrested after a theft of marijuana from a cultivation site. Early on the morning of February 28 a burglary occurred at the cannabis cultivation site on the 14000 block of County Road 41a.

Deputies were given a description of a vehicle suspected of being associated with the theft.

Within twenty minutes deputies located and stopped the vehicle west of Woodland.  In the bed of the vehicle they found 184 pounds of processed marijuana. The $129,000 worth of marijuana had been stolen from the cultivation site.

26-year-old Chad Hart, 20-year-old Terrell McCall and 31-year-old Salvador Rodriguez, all form Sacramento, were booked into jail. Two 17-year-old Sacramento juveniles were also arrested. The five were charged with burglary, grand theft and conspiracy.
