Convicted Felon Arrested Following Multi-County Firearms Investigation in Woodland

WOODLAND, CA  — Detectives with the Yolo County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with Sacramento County Probation Officers, recently concluded an investigation into 25-year-old Woodland resident Rudy Hader. The investigation focused on allegations of a convicted felon in possession of firearms, with activity spanning both Sacramento and Yolo Counties.

Investigators identified two locations of interest associated with Hader, including an apartment situated in the 600 block of 3rd Street in Woodland. During the inquiry, it was determined that Hader was out of custody on supervised own recognizance probation following a late 2025 arrest involving a domestic dispute and a subsequent foot chase, where he was charged with being a felon in possession of ammunition.

On March 25, 2026, Yolo County and West Sacramento detectives, supported by the Yolo County Regional SWAT Team and the Sacramento County Special Enforcement Detail, executed simultaneous search warrants at the identified locations. During the Woodland operation, the SWAT team detained Hader without incident.

A search of the Woodland apartment resulted in the recovery of a Glock 34 semi-automatic pistol and ammunition. A concurrent search in Sacramento County also led to the seizure of additional ammunition. Hader was booked into the Yolo County Jail on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.
