Teen arrested for murder after shooting into an occupied home

San Jose – The San Jose Police Department has made an arrest in homicide case in which a 58-year-old female victim was shot.  According to the SJPD, “On Saturday, January 19 at about 5:34 PM, San Jose police officers responded to a person shot at a residence in the 2400 block of Clyda Drive in San Jose.”

Lili Santiago Hernandez was found shot inside a home where she had been sitting when the juvenile shot into the home, killing her.  During the time of the shooting, multiple residents were throwing a party when the teen began to fire into the occupied home.

The investigation took a turn when a 17-year-old suspect was identified as the person responsible for the murder.  Once identified, investigators were able to determine his whereabouts on February 5th and he was subsequently booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall for PC 187, murder.  The teen is expected to be charged as an adult for Hernandez’s death.
