COMPTON – A suspected DUI vehicle driving the wrong way led LASD deputies on a multi-city pursuit. Their attempt to conduct a 10:50 PM traffic stop last night on Harris Avenue resulted in a failure-to-yield car chase.

First of all, the Compton – to – Long Beach drive ended near Olive Avenue and 61st Street with a collision into a parked car. Four suspects jumped out and fled the scene.

As a result, authorites immediately set up a containment area with backup provided by the Special Enforcement Bureau and K-9 “Nero.”

Consequently, they quickly arrested two anonymous male Black teens (ages 18 and 19). A search recovered three loaded handguns. No injuries occurred during the pursuit.

Finally, LASD thanked the community for their patience and reminded everyone to avoid areas of police activity. Suspects may be armed. A special “Thank You” went out for K-9 Nero and the Special Enforcement Bureau’s steadfast backup.
