Search Warrant Produces Stash

BAKERSFIELD – It started with the execution of a search warrant on Tuesday near 34th and Q Streets.

35-year-old Mario Gonzalez was detained and taken to his home in the 2800 block of Driller Avenue. There, deputies searched both his home and his vehicle.

They found three quarters of a pound of meth, $4,00, a loaded firearm and “other items indicative of sales of a controlled substance.”

Gonzalez’ charges include “being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of controlled substance for sales, transportation of a controlled substance for sales, personally armed with a firearm while in possession of a controlled substance and being a felon in possession of ammunition.”

His bail was set at $85.000.
