Boyfriend Charged in Girlfriend’s Shooting Death

BARSTOW – On the morning of April 7th the SBSD was called to an apartment in the 25000 block of West Main Street on the report of a dead body inside of an apartment.

Officers discovered 27-year-old Trayana Denice Taylor, dead from multiple injuries.  Initial investigation led authorities to the victim’s boyfriend, 37-year-old Andre Dewprey Woodard.

Woodard was arrested for being a felon in possession of a loaded gun.  Further investigation linked him to Taylor’s murder and he was charged with the same.
