Madera man drives drunk with child in vehicle, arrested for DUI

MADERA // A local man has been arrested on DUI charges after an officer watched him run two stop signs.
The officer pulled him over on 5th and B and, upon speaking with him, noticed visible signs of intoxication. The man’s wife and 8-month-old son were also in the vehicle.
When the driver, later identified as Lazaro Carmona, failed a series of field sobriety tests, he was formally arrested for DUI. A chemical breath test later revealed his BAC to be twice the legal limit of .08%.
In addition to DUI, Carmona is also charged with child endangerment.
