Reckless driver in custody after leading Madera Police on pursuit

MADERA // A reckless driver is in custody after leading police on a pursuit into Madera County.
Late last week, an officer attempted an enforcement stop on a red Chevy Trailblazer. The driver chose instead to hit the gas and initiate a pursuit, starting on the northeast side of town and into Madera County.
Despite relatively low speed of the pursuit (40-50 MPH), the driver’s recklessness brought significant public safety concerns.
The pursuit finally ended when he drove his car into a field and the vehicle was immobilized.
The suspect, identified as Francisco Lara, was arrested and booked into jail.
