Saratoga man shoots roommate

SANTA CLARA COUNTY — The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a 57-year-old man on July 13, 2017, who had called police around 7:00 AM to report that he had just shot his occupant. When the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office West Valley Patrol deputies arrived at the residence on the 18000 block of Bucknall Road they found a 60-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound.

According to Santa Clara County Sheriff Sergeant Rich Glennon, “Emergency medical personnel began treating the female and she was transported to a local area hospital.”   She later succumbed to her injuries.

The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of immediate family members.

Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Investigators and Crime Scene Investigators have processed the scene collecting evidence that will help judicial and forensic investigators determine how the shooting occurred. No additional information about the shooting, including the identity of the alleged shooter, has been released pending further investigation.
