HOLLISTER — Police have arrested 38-year-old Adrian Amezcua of Hollister for shooting into an occupied vehicle on Monday, April 3.

Apparently, a business meeting had been conducted on the 500 block of San Benito Street, during which an argument ensued between several of the participants.

Two eventually left and, as they drove away, ran afoul of several shots fired at a parked car that belonged to another one of the attendees. Fortunately, nobody was injured, although the same could not be said for the vehicle that was targeted.

Hollister PD Detective Martinez began an investigation, reviewing CCTV footage taken from downtown and identifying Amezcua as the suspect. Police immediately began surveillance on Amezcua’s home and soon made an arrest.

A search warrant was also executed on the home.

Anyone with information related to the shooting is strongly encouraged to contact Detective Martinez at 831 – 636 – 4330.
