PICO RIVERA – Nearly four years ago, on June 26, 2013, 27-year-old Jessica Gomez was shot to death in front of her home in the 9400 block of Underwood Street.
32-year-old Richard Pallan was sentenced on Tuesday to 80 years to life in life in state prison after being found guilty in Gomez’ death.
30-year-old Cecilia Gallegos drove Gomez to her home,with Pallan in the car as well. When Gallegos dropped Gomez off, Pallan got out of the car and shot the victim to death.
Gallegos drove the shooter away. For her part in the crime, Gallegos will be sentenced on May 23 for being an accessory after the fact.
