SAN JOSE – The San Jose Police Department has announced the arrest of a female teacher who was suspected of having a sexual relationship with one of her students.

According to Sgt. Enrique Garcia with the San Jose Police Department, “The San Jose Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) / Child Exploitation Detail (CED) task force arrested suspect Trudy Hill for Sending Harmful Matter to a Minor (felony) – Penal Code 288.2(a)(2), and Oral Copulation (felony) – Penal Code 288a(b)(2).”

Garcia said, “The investigation revealed that between August 2016 and November 2016, Hill had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old male student.”

Hill surrendered to detectives, posted bail and was subsequently released from jail.

Hill is on leave from Santa Teresa High School in San Jose after the incident in which it is believed that she used her position of authority to exploit the victim into a sexual relationship with her. It is not known if there are any other victims who have failed to come forward to report any other exploitations by Hill.

Persons with information regarding this incident or any other similar incidents are urged to contact Detective Sean Pierce #3415 of the San Jose PD’s ICAC/CED Unit at (408) 537-1397.
