Humboldt County Man Lands Additional Charges During Warrant Arrest

HUMBOLDT COUNTY — On November 10th at approximately 3 AM, Sheriff’s Deputies arrived at the Moonstone Beach parking area after being alerted to the possible presence of a wanted person — 25-year-old Ry Taylor Landen, who is wanted in connection to a vehicle burglary out of Trinidad.

Landen was found in a green Ford Expedition, along with a red, white, and blue motorcycle. He initially refused to comply with deputies, though he was eventually taken into custody without incident. During a subsequent search, Landen was found to be in possession of a loaded gun, burglary tools, and drugs.

He was arrested on his warrants and additional charges of carrying a loaded firearm in a public place, possession of burglary tools, violation of probation, resisting arrest, and possession of a narcotic controlled substance. He is currently housed at the Humboldt County Correctional Facility and is ineligible for bail.
