EUREKA — On the morning of June 17, on the 800 block of K Street, a man was “nodding off inside a parked vehicle.”
Officers with the Eureka Police Department arrived to make contact.
The man, later identified as 38-year-old Benjamin Pearsall, turned out to be on the hook for two warrants. He was also in possession of half a pound of meth, a quarter pound of heroin, marijuana, and a loaded handgun.
Pearsall was arrested and booked on his warrants.
In addition, he now faces new charges of possession of a controlled substance while armed, possession of controlled substance for sale, felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of over 28.5 grams of marijuana.
On June 10, 2015, Pearsall was arrested for driving on a suspended license.
