EUREKA – The EPD arrested Lorna Jean Leen one day after a homicide at the Ocean View Cemetery.
Officers arrived at the cemetery on August 9 at 9:07 p.m. The report that brought them out mentioned a possible stabbing.
Sure enough, they came upon 16-year-old Brandon Brocious deceased from a stab wound. Officers immediately began a search for witnesses and suspects.
Detectives named 38-year-old Lorna Jean Leen as the suspect, along with an unnamed juvenile.
The next morning officers found Leen at a campsite near the 1300 block of Bayshore Way. Also, they found the juvenile in a vehicle nearby.
Consequently, law enforcement took Leen to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility and the juvenile to Juvenile Hall
The CPD says, “The bail amount issued on each warrant was $1,000,000.”
Also they add, “This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information about this investigation can contact Detective Sergeant Shawn Sopoaga at 707-832-5108.”
