NEWARK – A man and woman at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel were arrested for drug possession and other charges, after hotel staff alerted Newark police that a stolen credit card had been used to make a room reservation.

David Magris, 28, of Vallejo and Suzanne Gonzalez, 18, of Danville were arrested and booked at the Santa Rita Jail, following an incident on Oct. 6 at the hotel located at 39900 Balentine Drive.

Police said the man had drugs and another person’s credit and identification cards on him. Magris was charged with possession of personal identifying information with intent to defraud and for possession of a controlled substance.

Gonzalez who was with Magris was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of controlled substance paraphernalia and attempted extortion. In addition, was she arrested for an outstanding warrant for felony charges
