SAN JOSE — The San Jose Police Department reported the suspicious death of a man found in a garbage can on May 21.  The SJPD Department is now speaking up about the arrest of a possible suspect, the man’s own son.  According to police records, 21-year-old Anthony James Torrez-Castro was arrested on May 22, just two days after the beaten body of his father, 44-year-old Anthony Ray Castro, was discovered.

According to the San Jose Police Department’s Press Information Officer Sgt. Enrique Garcia, on Friday, May 20, at 6:50 PM, San Jose Police officers responded to the 500 block of Bonita Avenue on a report of a possible dead body.

Once officers arrived, an adult male victim was found deceased and dumped into a trash can.
