Sherman Oaks Woman Charged with Credit Card Fraud

INGLEWOOD, CA—If one fails to get everything off Santa’s list, does that mean that stealing it is the way to get it?

Amber Marie Aguilar, 40, was arrested on Tuesday, January 6 at approximately 7:45 a.m. by Inglewood police officers. She was picked up along the 9100 block of South Aviation Boulevard, deep in Hawthorne and close to Manhattan Beach. Reached via email and telephone, Inglewood police spokespersons did not respond to requests regarding Aguilar’s arrest far from Inglewood.

The Sherman Oaks artist was arrested for use of a forged access card (484G(A)PC), obtaining a credit card/etc. using another person’s identification (530.5(A)PC), grand theft auto (487(D)PCGTA) and obtaining money/etc. under false pretenses (532(A)PC). There were also two warrants from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD): possession of a controlled substance (11377(A)HS) and identify theft possessing the identification of 10 or more persons with the intent to defraud (530.5(C)(3)PC).

Bail for all four of the new charges and one of the warrants was set at $135,000; the LAPD identity theft regarding “10 or more” had no bail amount listed.

Perhaps for Christmas this year, she can wish for enough credit cards to pay for her bail in time for next year.
