A 53-year-old Stockton man has been accused of stabbing his 10-year-old stepson.
Lope Charvet was arrested Saturday when officers responding to a 911 call found the boy being held in his uncle’s arms, bloody and drifting in and out of consciousness.
Charvat barricaded himself in a bedroom and refused to let police in, according to reports. Officers forced entry and found Charvet with several self-inflicted stab wounds.
He faces attempted homicide charges.
Police said they did not know what motivated the stabbing.
