Rocklin – A 41-year-old Whitney High School teacher has been arrested for allegedly sexting a teen.

Theater arts teacher Richard Eldredge, of Sacramento, allegedly sent numerous texts to the 17-year-old female victim asking for sex or nude photos, according to a police press release. It was not clear if the teen was a student of Eldredge’s. Police were notified by someone who is mandated to report such incidents.

Eldredge has been placed on administrative leave, according to reports. He was arrested Monday on suspicion of unlawful contact with a minor for sexual purposes.
