SPD Make Arrest in Sex Assault Case

The Sacramento Police Department (SPD) have recently arrested a medical assistant for inappropriately touching a patient, according to an official press release.

Jorge Martin-Santana, 28, has reportedly been arrested and charged with one count of sexual battery. He reportedly turned himself in to police on December 4 and was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail.

According to the SPD, in October 2013 officers received a report of alleged misconduct by Martin-Santana, an employee of Planned Parenthood. An investigation reportedly revealed he had inappropriately touched a patient during the course of his duties as a medical assistant.

On December 3, 2013, detectives and the Sacramento District Attorney’s Office reportedly received a warrant for Martin-Santana’s arrest, and the next day he turned himself in.

The SPD urges anyone with information pertaining to this crime to contact the dispatch center at 916-264-5471 or Crime Alert at 916-443-HELP (4357).
