Fresno Police Look for Burglary Suspect

FRESNO – Police are on the lookout and requesting the public’s help in finding a suspect in the burglaries of two restaurants in northeast Fresno.

The burglaries took place on November 25. The fist break-in took place at the Pizza Factory on First and Nees. Video surveillance shows someone breaking a window and climbing inside the restaurant. The suspect grabbed a handful of cash and then took off.

The suspect then broke into Wassabi, about a mile away. Surveillance video shows the crook walking alongside the restaurant, then crawling through a window that he had smashed with a rock. The suspect took money from the cash register.

Police believe the suspect is 33-year-old Michael David Buchanan, who has had a long list of run-ins with officers. The Fresno Police Department is asking for the public’s help leading to the suspect or identifying other burglaries that the suspect may have been responsible for.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Rudy Montoya at (559) 621-6436.
