Men in Van Scare Two Women

Paso Robles Police are searching for a driver of a white van who frightened two local women as he pulled up next to them.

According to PRPD, officers received a report of suspicious circumstances involving a vehicle on Monday.

Police say the incident occurred on the day before at approximately 10:00 p.m.

Two adult females reported to police they were walking east on Sherwood Road when a white van pulled up next to them and stopped.

The women say the van drove alongside them as they continued walking.

The van drove a short distance and stopped as they approached. They say they ran past the van and it subsequently drove south onto Commerce Drive.

The female victims said they continued to walk on Linne Road when they observed the same van approach and again stop near them. They said they concealed themselves from the van in a nearby business parking lot and waited for the van to leave.

The two women called a friend to pick them up and then reported the incident to police the next day.

Police say the van is described as a large older white van like the Ride-On vans. The van had a black rear bumper with a California license plate. The van had at least four windows along the side. The van had body damage on the right front fender and the rear doors.

Police say the driver and passenger of the van were described as Hispanic male adults in their 20s. The driver possibly had a mustache. The occupants never spoke to the women.

The Paso Robles Police Department is requesting anyone with information about this incident, or similar incidents, contact the Paso Robles Police Department. Persons wishing to remain anonymous are encouraged to call Crime Stoppers’ 24-hour hotline at 549-STOP or by texting “SLOTIPS plus your message” to CRIMES (274637).
