Sheriffs Bust Burglars

San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Department deputies arrested four suspects for allegedly burglarizing a home in Nipomo.

According to a press release from the sheriff’s department, they received a report of a burglary in progress at a home in the Black Lake Golf Course area of Nipomo. The report was received on July 24 about 5 p.m.

Detectives with the sheriff’s office said they began an immediate investigation and over the course of the following weeks, four suspects were arrested.

The suspects are Juan Coria Mendoza, 21, Salvador Mendoza Jr., 25, Eric Xavier Mendoza, 19, and Jesus Alejandro Zavala, 26, all of Nipomo.

All four were placed into custody and booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail for residential burglary, robbery, conspiracy, with gang enhancements. The San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s office said they may file additional charges in this case.

According to the press release, some of the victim’s personal belongings that were taken have been recovered by the sheriff’s office.
