Anger, Alcohol and Shotgun a Dangerous Mix

SAN ANDREAS – Alcohol and anger combined to lead an ex-girlfriend to fire  gunshots into the home of her former boyfriend.  Police say that on Wednesday at 11:00 PM to a “shots fired” call at the 300 block of Nielson Street.  Kelly Linneman, 35, was held for questioning in her home. She had a shotgun in her possession at the time.

Linneman had attempted to shoot her neighbor, and ex-boyfriend, 42-year-old John Ramirez.  Linneman had entered Ramirez’ home and fired three shots into an exterior wall that led to his bedroom.  Ramirez was asleep at the time and uninjured after the shooting.  Making matters worse, Ramirez’ two children were also in the home at the time, but also uninjured.

Police arrested Linneman, described as “obviously intoxicated.”  She was booked into Calaveras County Jail on charges of attempted murder, criminal threats, discharge of a firearm in a dwelling, endangering the health of a child and domestic violence. Her bail was set at $575,000.
