AMERICAN CANYON — On Sunday night at 11:30, the American Canyon Police Department received a call about a prowler in the backyard of a residence on Hillcrest Court.

Security camera footage showed that the suspect was “checking a window.”

The man on the camera footage was 39-year-old Rodney Earl Wilson of Vallejo.

ACPD contacted the Napa County Probation department; they were keeping track of Watson’s whereabouts via the GPS ankle monitor he was wearing.

Officers then located the suspect on Deerfield Drive, and he tried to run but was arrested.

Wilson faces possible charges of attempted burglary, committing a felony while out of jail, prowling, and resisting arrest. His bail is $50,000. He had also been arrested for a similar crime in April.
