Carlsbad – A 52-year-old modeling photographer was arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl during a photo shoot in Carlsbad.

Carlsbad police on Nov. 13 arrested Robert Koester, 52, of Carlton, Oregon on charges of sexual assault of a minor. Police officials said they are currently looking for other victims or witnesses to similar crimes.

According to a Carlsbad Police Department press release, on November 13th, officers responded to a call reporting a sexual assault on a minor.

The 16-year-old victim told police she went to a residence on the 3600 block of Carlsbad Boulevard on November 12 to meet with Koester about a modeling job and that Koester assaulted her during a photo session.

Police returned to the residence where the assault occurred on November 13th and arrested Koester, who police said was renting the residence.

Police said Koester was working as a subcontractor for a Carlsbad-based modeling agency and have been working with the agency to determine if similar assaults had occurred with previous clients.
