4 arrested at illegal marijuana grow site

MADISON – 4 men were arrested on November 1st for illegal marijuana cultivation offenses.

Deputies served a search warrant at property in the 29000 block of Quincy Street. Once there, they discovered and confiscated a large quantity of marijuana. They also discovered a butane honey oil lab at the same location.

Officers arrested 22 year old Ernest Lopez, 29 year old Elias Lopez, and 35 year old Sasha Lopez. All three men are from Madision and all three now face charges of conspiracy, marijuana cultivation, and manufacturing honey oil.

In addition, 19-year-old Enrique Lopez of Madison, was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Deputies removed a total of 74 “growing plants,” as well as 50 pounds of processed marijuana and an ounce of butane honey oil.

The Yolo County Sheriff’s Office reminds its citizens that a permit under County Code 5-20.01 is required for the cultivation of cannabis.
