4,000+ Marijuana Plants Discovered and Destroyed

BURSON – The MET (Marijuana Enforcement Team) discovered and destroyed over 4,000 marijuana plants. On May 3 MET took the illegal plants from a home in the 5000 block of Southworth Road.

The 5-acre lot held numerous cargo containers. The CCSO press release added,”Several large industrial sized generators were running to power many of the grow rooms.”

The house itself did not hold any growing plants.  However, thousands of plants grew in the front yard.  As a result, 4,834 plants met their end.

The arrestees are –

  1. 58-year-old Yi Lin of Marlton, New Jersey;
  2. 57-year-old Ni Kong of New York, New York;
  3. 51-year-old Ni Shao of Seattle, Washington.

Their charges include illegal marijuana cultivation, maintaining a drug house and criminal conspiracy.

Shao is a previously deported subject and has an active warrant out of Newport Beach
