Fresno County Detectives Take Pedophile off Streets

Armando Pena had been living in the community since August of last year when he was released from prison. His conviction history includes robbery and auto theft. At the time of his most recent offense the 29-year-old was on Post Release Community Supervision.

On January 6th, family members of three young children filed reports with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office regarding sexual abuse the children had recently suffered. Armando Pena was identified as the suspect. Although not a member of the families affected, he is well known by them.

Pena was arrested on January 9th near Lassen and 10th Street in Huron after deputies of the Fresno County Adult Compliant Team (ACT) located him.

Pena is charged with multiple felony charges including sex acts with a child under 10. He is held at the Fresno County Jail with bail set at $1.215 million.
