The Fresno County District Attorney’s Office has filed six felony counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14 against 38-year old Nathaniel Stephen Myers of Clovis.

Myers works as a local landscaper in addition to recently working at a Clovis church, which remains unnamed.

When Fresno County Sheriff’s Sex Crimes Unit detectives investigated Myers, they discovered he completed the police academy in 2016. His inability to meet the minimum hiring standards impeded his employment at several local law enforcements agencies to which he applied, including the Fresno County Sherriff’s Office. The disqualification was not related to his current
charges as this information was unknown until recently.

Myers is alleged to have molested multiple children under the age of 14 over the last 18 years.

He was arrested on November 25, 2020 and booked into the Fresno County Jail with bail set at $690,000. He has since bonded out.

It is strongly believed there could be more victims who have not come forward. Lieutenant Brandon Pursell asks the public to come forward with any information in regards to this case. He can be reached at 559-600-8029.
