Kyle Brown and Nathan Morgan

SAN LUIS OBISPO — Someone called the SLOPD on Sunday to report a theft from their unlocked vehicle.  The items stolen included jewelry, makeup, luggage, purses, sunglasses, and a credit card.

The credit card was used at a local business, from which police obtained surveillance video of two suspects.

On Tuesday, the SLOPD displayed pictures from the video on their Facebook, Nextdoor, and Twitter pages.

Several people contacted police to identify the suspects.  A Pismo police officer also identified them.

That same day, the duo were stopped at 4 PM in Arroyo Grande.

22-year-old Kyle Brown and 28-year-old Nathan Morgan were arrested and charged with possession of burglary tools, possession of stolen property, and fraudulent use of a credit card.

Morgan was additionally charged with possession of paraphernalia and possession of heroin.

Brown is being held on a $4,000 bail and Morgan’s bail is set at $12,000.
