Three arrested for attempted burglary in Milpitas
Three Sacramento men were arrested in Milpitas late last month after reportedly being caught in the act of attempting a residential burglary.
Milpitas police say the victim called 911 on at about 9:15 p.m. on May 24 to report a suspect trying to enter her residence in the 100 block of Callan Street. The victim said the suspect and another man had repeatedly rung her doorbell, but she didn’t answer. The two suspects then jumped over a locked side gate and were in the backyard, the victim reported.
Police, including a K-9 unit, quickly responded and established a perimeter around the house. One officer told the suspects to come out peacefully or the dog would be released.
Police say the suspects then jumped a fence and were eventually located and arrested while prowling in the backyard of a residence on Tiny Street.
The suspects were identified as 24-year-old Yao Saechao and 23-year-old Chan Saechao. Officials say one of the suspects was in possession of miscellaneous items that are commonly used to commit burglaries.
A third suspect, 23-year-old Chanchew Saelee, was also arrested while sitting in a parked vehicle near the victim’s residence. Police believe Saelee was acting as a lookout.
All three men were booked into Santa Clara County Jail for attempted burglary and conspiracy. Yao Saechao was also charged with possession of burglary tools.
