Campbell Police Arrest Man for Alleged Possession of CSAM

“On January 24th, one of our CPD detectives received a cyber tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force. Working off of this tip, a CPD detective authored a search warrant for the vehicle, residence, and any/all electronic storage devices from Timothy Dailey, 55 years old of Campbell.

On February 22nd, our CPD detectives, officers, and members of the ICAC task force executed the search warrant and recovered Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. Dailey was arrested and charged with possession of CSAM, possession of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia, and possession of a switchblade.

Dailey has a prior history of possession of CSAM and arrests by local agencies in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2015, and 2016 as well as various charges for possession of controlled substances and burglary.

At this time Dailey is no longer in custody and has been placed on SORP (Supervised Own Recognizance Release). Our Sexual Assault Detective will continue to work closely with the Silicon Valley ICAC task force to investigate cases of online sexual exploitation and abuse, ensuring the safety and protection of children and vulnerable individuals in our community.”
