It was just after 6 PM on March 28, 2019 when a male walked into the Wells Fargo on South Mooney in Visalia. He demanded money via a note he handed to an employee and soon after left the bank on foot with an undetermined about of cash. No one was physically injured during the incident.

On April 5th, a man walked into the Wells Fargo on Main Street in Visalia around 6 PM; employees realized he looked like the man who robbed the Wells Fargo on Mooney just eight days prior.

The authorities were called but the man left without contacting employees before police could get there. Visalia Police searched the area once they arrived.

While searching for the suspect, they received an alert that Chase Bank on Court and Acequia, 0.3 miles from the Wells Fargo on Main Street, had just been robbed.

Identical to the Wells Fargo robbery, the suspect handed an employee a note demanding money and left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Witnesses led police to the suspect who was located on Floral and Oak, 0.4 miles from Chase Bank. Assisted by a K9 unit, Holguin was apprehended and arrested.

The money stolen during the Chase Bank robbery was recovered and evidence further linking him to the robberies was found. It was discovered Holguin intended to rob the Wells Fargo on Main Street, and Central Valley Community Bank on Floral and Center, however, he left the banks without contacting the employees.

Holguin remains at the Adult Pre-Trial Facility where he faces charges of second-degree robbery and attempted robbery. His bail is set at $250,000.
