Firearms & Suspected Fentanyl Discovered During Traffic Stop in Eureka

EUREKA, CA — “A traffic stop in Eureka led to a larger discovery: suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine and firearms.

On Oct. 27, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies stopped a vehicle in the 3500 block of Broadway. The driver, Thomas Grzymski Sr., 48, was arrested after deputies located suspected fentanyl and drug paraphernalia.

HCSO’s Problem Oriented Policing (POP) Team later worked with the Humboldt County Probation Department to conduct a probation search at Grzymski’s residence on Allard Avenue, where deputies seized additional suspected narcotics and firearms. Additional charges were added to his booking.

The POP Team works to address ongoing criminal activity and quality-of-life concerns in our communities. Community members can help by reporting suspected criminal activity and sharing information with law enforcement.

To report suspected criminal activity, contact HCSO at 707-445-7251. For anonymous crime tips, call 707-268-2539.”
