Targeted Police Operation at Riverside Motel Yields Narcotics Seizures and Three Arrests

RIVERSIDE, CA– A targeted surveillance operation conducted by the Riverside Police Department at a local motel led to multiple arrests and the recovery of illicit narcotics on Wednesday afternoon.

At approximately 12:00 p.m. on Oct. 7, 2026, members of the department’s Problem-Oriented Policing Team, Technical Services Unit, and Downtown Entertainment District officers set up surveillance at the Days Inn Motel located at 10545 Magnolia Avenue following reports of ongoing drug activity.

During the operation, officers observed a suspected narcotics transaction in the parking lot. Personnel intercepted the suspected seller, 39-year-old Donald Terry of Riverside, as he departed the property, and simultaneously detained the suspected buyer, 41-year-old Ivan Jimenez of Riverside. A search of Jimenez yielded methamphetamine, fentanyl, a digital scale, and drug paraphernalia.

Because Terry was on active Riverside County probation, officers executed a probation compliance search of his motel room, where they contacted six additional occupants. Inside, officers found 44-year-old Krystle Burch in possession of drug paraphernalia, a digital scale, and a cutting agent used for narcotics preparation.

In total, officers contacted eight individuals during the detail and arrested three on various narcotics charges.
