Irvine Police Arrest Helendale Man for Bicycle Theft and Felony Warrant
IRVINE, CA – Irvine Police Department officers arrested a 34-year-old man last week following a bicycle theft report at the Woodbridge Community Association.
Officers responded to the community facility after receiving a call regarding a theft in progress. While searching the surrounding area, a responding officer spotted a man matching the suspect’s description walking down the sidewalk with the stolen bicycle.
Police detained the suspect shortly thereafter. The individual who reported the incident was brought to the location and positively identified the suspect as the person who took the bicycle.
Authorities identified the suspect as Ian Nathaniel Perreira, 34, of Helendale. Officers arrested Perreira and booked him into the Orange County Jail on charges of bicycle theft alongside an outstanding felony arrest warrant from Riverside County.
