Clearlake Oaks Traffic Stop Leads to Stolen Property Recovery and PRCS Arrest
CLEARLAKE OAKS, CA — Lake County Sheriff’s deputies recovered stolen business equipment and arrested a Clearlake Oaks resident during a traffic stop on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026.
Deputies initiated the stop at approximately 12:00 p.m. in the Clearlake Oaks area after observing a vehicle traveling without a rear license plate. Upon contacting the occupants, deputies identified passenger Curtis Rogers III, 25, who was subject to search conditions under Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS).
A search of the vehicle yielded methamphetamine, a flux welder, and a toolbox containing tools. Investigators determined the items had been reported stolen during an August burglary at an Upper Lake business. Deputies also conducted field sobriety tests and determined Rogers was under the influence of a controlled substance.
Pursuing search conditions at Rogers’ residence, deputies recovered additional stolen property, including an arc welder, portable CD player, drywall screwdriver, and transmission jack. All items were returned to the business owner.
Rogers was arrested and booked on charges including possession of stolen property, possession and being under the influence of a controlled substance, and PRCS violations. The driver, Alexandria Erevia, 31, was cited for drug possession.
